Caring for Our Elders, Strengthening Our Community

To reduce loneliness, improve wellbeing, and create a supportive social environment for older adults through regular activities, companionship, education, and community engagement.

Our Mission

To enhance the quality of life of elderly people by providing accessible social, recreational, educational, and wellbeing activities within a safe and welcoming community.

Who We Serve

The Elderly Club operates as a dedicated program under Saifi Foundation, providing a welcoming space for adults aged 60 and above. We focus on reaching isolated elderly individuals, retired community members, and those with limited social opportunities —as well as carers looking for meaningful social activities for their loved ones.

Adults aged 60+

Welcoming older adults into a supportive and engaging community.

Isolated elderly individuals

Reaching out to those who feel alone and disconnected.

Retired community members

Helping retirees stay active, engaged, and connected.

Elderly with limited social opportunities

Creating chances to connect for those with few social outlets.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said

He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbor goes hungry.

أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ إِطْعَامُ الطَّعَامِ

The best charity is to satisfy a hungry person.

Why This Matters

Loneliness among older adults is linked to poor mental health, depression, and increased healthcare needs often driven by bereavement, reduced mobility, and distance from family. The Elderly Club tackles these challenges through regular social engagement, working closely with GP practices, community centres, local councils, and care providers to reach local residents, referrals, and housing associations across the community.

The Impact of Loneliness

Loneliness among older adults is linked to poor mental health, increased depression, reduced physical health, and greater demands on healthcare services.

Challenges Faced by Elders

Many elderly people face bereavement, reduced mobility, family living further away, and limited access to social opportunities.

Who We Aim to Reach

We welcome local residents aged 60+, along with referrals from healthcare providers, social prescribing, housing associations, and community groups.

Our Potential Partners

We aim to work closely with GP practices, community centres, local councils, faith organizations, and care providers to reach and support more elders.

Building the Right Foundation

The Elderly Club addresses loneliness through regular social engagement, reaching local residents, healthcare referrals, and community groups with the support of partners like GP practices, councils, and faith organizations. To bring this to life, we’re seeking an accessible venue with wheelchair access, kitchen facilities, good transport links, and capacity for 30–50 participants such as a community center, worship hall, or local authority facility.

The Impact of Your Support

Alleviating Hunger

By providing food to families, we do more than just fill their stomachs. We help build their spirits and grant them the time to focus on progressing in other areas of life. With food at home, more people can work, study, and truly thrive.

Empowering Communities

Ensuring food security empowers communities, reduces the risk of conflict, and promotes social cohesion. It allows individuals to focus on education and employment, contributing to long-term development and stability.
